How to Apply Bed Bugs Spray to Get Rid of Them Forever
When it comes to bed bugs spray, you have to know how to use it properly to achieve the best results. This is one of the most important things to know when dealing with bed bugs. Working in the pest control industry, I understand the bed bug treatments that the professionals use in treating them. The instructions that come on the bed bug spray you purchase will not give you detailed instructions on properly treating a room, so we will take a few minutes to do that now.
First of all, you need to prep the room for the bed bug treatment. I am not going to go into too much detail here about that, but you basically want to clean everything before applying the bed bugs spray. After you completely clean the room, you need to make sure you have enough spray to treat a room. You are going to want to completely drench the room, so you probably need to buy more than one bottle of bed bugs spray. One bottle will not be enough to completely eliminate everything. Make sure you have at least three bottles on hand when you do your treatment. With this type of treatment, you need to be absolutely sure that you have enough spray to treat everything the first time. Make sure you only use one brand of bed bugs spray, or the different sprays could possibly counteract with each other and minimize their impact on the bed bugs.
Second, you want to begin treating the room itself. As you treat the room, start from the end of the room that is furthest away from the doorway to the room. Begin spraying the cracks and crevices and base boards and floor boards around the room. You need to treat every nook and cranny around the room very well. Treat the walls directly behind the headboard as well as the head board itself. Treat windowsills as they could be living in the curtains or other areas. You should even treat electrical sockets and other personal belongings if possible. Personal belongings and electronics that cannot be treated should be placed in bags and placed in areas that get above 120 degrees Fahrenheit. They cannot live in areas above 120. Make sure to apply extra spray near the mattress and box spring.
As you move around the room, you need to treat any furniture the best you can. Also treat the headboard of the bed and the box spring thoroughly. I do not recommend treating a mattress directly as the individual sleeping there could get sick from laying in the pesticides. I actually recommend throwing out your mattress or making sure you purchase a bed bug mattress encasement so that the bed bugs cannot get out of the mattress. It is fine to treat your box spring, and this is one of the most important parts of the treating process. Make sure to tear off the box spring cover and treat this too.
After treating all of these areas, you should have an entire perimeter treatment of your room. During the treatment, you should have seen a few bed bugs. Go back to these areas and start spraying the bed bugs themselves. They could die, but the idea is to chase them back to the areas where you have already treated along the baseboards of the room. The bugs will be trapped and the bugs will die!
Finally, after completing treatment, place sticky glueboards in the room to catch any bugs that escaped treatment. You want to see if any bugs are caught in these glueboards to see if you still have an infestation. If you catch more bugs within a week or so, retreat the entire room as stated above. Do not move back into your room immediately after treatment. I would wait at least 7 to 10 days and ensure there is no more bed bug activity before moving back into the room.
It is important to realize that using bed bugs spray is an ongoing process that can take weeks or even months. If proper procedures and steps are taken ahead of time, your chase of success is much greater.

Childrens Asthma: Problems When Sleeping
The majority of children have some difficulty during the night. To wake a couple of hours after going to sleep with a nasty cough is common. As is snoring, bed-wetting, and restless sleeping [thrashing about and waking often].
There is a simple explanation, and a direct solution. Remember the simple lesson of the mouse and the elephant. The only way to cause asthma is by breathing like a big ......elephant. One of the easiest ways to breath like an elephant is to sleep on your back. In this position there is no resistance to huge deep breaths. Turning on your side makes it physically more difficult to breathe so deeply ó your body pushes down on your lungs more.
The other problem with being asleep is that your mouth will usually open this allows us to breathe even more deeply. On top of this our breathing gets deeper as our sleep gets deeper. When we are in our deepest sleep, our breathing is at its deepest ó very deep indeed if we are on lying on our backs with our mouths open! Too deep.
This elephantine breathing cause loss of more CO2 than we produce, the level gets dangerously low, and various defenses including spasm of smooth muscle and increased mucus production kick into gear. So your child starts coughing, snoring or wheezing, or the constriction of the smooth muscle around the bladder causes it to feel very full and bed wetting occurs. [Snoring is just your throat closing a little to try to stop you breathing like an elephant.]
The answer to this is to keep your mouth closed when you are asleep. The Manual contains a full section on this, but in brief, use surgical tape to keep your childs mouth closed. Do this only on children over 5 years. It has been used on younger children, and the reason I suggest this age is to ensure that the child has the ability to pull the tape off him if needed.
Before you write this idea off as absurd and dangerous listen to the instructions. The goal is to have just enough sticking power on the tape for it to stay on, and keep the lips together.
The tape recommended is called surgical or paper tape about 1 inch wide, available from a pharmacist. Tear off a strip about 2 inches [5 cms].
Fold a small tab on each end, so that it is easy to grip. Then repeatedly put the tape onto your palm and tear it off. Do this until it is hardly sticky at all.
It does not need much power to keep your lips together. Ensure your mouth is closed, as you can breathe through this tape, and gently place in lengthways along your lips. I suggest you do this on yourself first to show your child that you are also doing it. [It will greatly improve your sleep quality if you actually wear it in bed.]
Have a practice during the day with the tape so there is less if any drama at bedtime. Check on the child around 3.30 am to check he has not pulled it off. Re-apply it if necessary.
If it is off and you do not re-apply it, then your child will have no protection during the deepest sleep/breathing period, and will start the next day dealing with the results of huge elephant breathing. This may be asthma, bedwetting or just plain tiredness. As with the breathing drills, this is as important as brushing your teeth!
The most common concern with this is that your nose will block up will your mouth is taped closed and you will suffocate. Fortunately, the effect of CO2 on your nose makes this impossible. The more blocked your nose becomes, the more CO2 you will trap in. The extra CO2 will cause your nose to unblock. So your nose will not block completely unless you open your mouth. It may whistle a bit, but cannot close up completely.

How to Control and Prevent Pantry Pests
There are many kinds of pests that you can bring into your house from the wet market. Moths, weevils, beetles, and cockroaches are just some of the many pests that you might unwittingly bring with you into your hearth and home. Flower arrangements, decorative dried corn cobs, cake mix, chocolates, spices, mouse and rat bait, cookies, crackers, granola bars, and other foodstuffs are some of the things that can invite pests to lodge in your home. However, since these things are necessary, being food or household items in daily use---indoor pest control is needed to ensure that you and your family remain safe from pests.
If these foods are improperly stored or are kept for a long period of time, pest eggs can hatch in the food containers themselves without your knowing it. Here are some tips you can follow to help as pests control:
When infested with moths, weevils, or beetles, emptying all drawers, cabinets and pantries of any possible infested item helps to prevent the spread of the infestation. Containers or items which are a possible source of the infestation must be cleaned or gotten rid of. Putting items into Tupperware containers, air-tight canisters, or zip-lock plastic bags help prevent these pests from getting into them. If you wish to save foodstuff that you think might be infested, placing them in the fridge for five to ten days will kill the pests that might be residing in them. Ensuring that canned goods' rims are cleaned, and that the sides and edges of jar lids are cleaned ensure that pests cannot reside in them.
Using aerosol sprays with crevice tips, such as the CB-invader will allow you to spray not just the obvious areas where pests might roam around or may be seen, but those nooks and crannies where they hide and breed. Spraying these areas will kills all adult pests, however it should be noted that some pupae or eggs can still survive and develop a resistance to the insecticide. To rid yourself of cigarette beetles, a treatment on Precor IGR solution on cracks are crevices work. It is very good in decimating the beetle population. For some similar pests, Gentrol Point Source or Gentrol will prevent premature pests from developing into adult ones, thus killing off their population by preventing reproduction. Using this method prevents re-infestation and facilitates in efficient pest control. For persistent pests, a secondary or tertiary treatment of the odorless CB-invader for some weeks will do the job.
If you are having trouble with Mediterranean Moths, Indian Meal Moths, or other moths which infest flour and grains, placing moth traps are useful for eliminating them, since they catch adult moths and prevent them from laying eggs. The trap itself is highly inviting to moths since it is laced with a very strong sex pheromone which baits them into 'mating' with the trap, only to be caught in the sticky glue.
Common pantry pests are highly irritating and annoying, especially if they infest a household. However, one can easily manage to eradicate these pesky critters by following some of the simple tips stated above. When infested with the flour moth, the first, second, and third step may be undertaken. However, there are some exceptions, such as in the case of still hatching pupae. By cutting down on the pesticides until they hatch, you have a better chance of killing them.
If still your pest problems persist, contact an integrated pest management service. They will gladly assist you in eradicating your bane once and for all!

Mouse Traps - What Options Do I Have To Get Rid of the Mice?
One of the biggest questions that exterminators get is about mouse traps. Most people are familiar with the snap traps that have been around forever. With snap traps, mice run up to a device with food on it, and they are caught and die. While this might sound inhumane to tree huggers, this is a quick and painless death for many mice. There are other traps you can buy too. In my own experience in the pest control industry, I have used several different types of traps to kill rodents.
Most exterminators set up all the bait stations in the attic, crawl space, and garage. Since mice normally travel along walls, you should always place all rodent control devices along walls and along the edge of the floored areas in the attic. Do not place them in the middle of the floor anywhere in the home where people can step on it. You should set the them up against the walls in the crawl space and unfinished basements.
Snap Traps
We will start with the most common snap mouse traps. These have been around forever. You simply setup them in an attic, crawl space, garage, or other secluded area, and you wait for the mice to come. Many exterminators use specially packaged attractants such as Provoke Mouse Attractant to lure the mice, but a simple spot of peanut butter will work as well.
Snap traps are great if you are trying to figure out if you have mice, or if you want to know what type of mice are invading your home. If you are not sure if they are going into certain areas of the home, it is appropriate to set traps against walls inside the home. If you set traps in any living areas, you should be checking these traps regularly. These mouse traps will likely be used for centuries to come.
Stick-em Glue Traps
Another method that people use to catch mice is with sticky traps. There are also sticky traps/monitors you can use to catch insects, but these are specific glue traps designed to catch mice. The glue traps catch mice on the trap, but they will not die right away. The glue traps are sometimes best used in commercial establishments when you need to slide mouse traps under equipment. They are easier to set than snap traps. With snap traps, some people worry about getting their finger cut off by the trap going off on them, but this is not a problem with glue traps. Mice won't die right away on sticky traps, as they will die a slow painful death trying to get off the trap.
Rodent Baits
Rodent Bait is the most common type of traps used today. They are the most effective traps you can use. You basically set up the traps, the mice find the bait and eat it, and then they die several hours later. Several blocks of bait can eliminate a mice infestation. I like rodent bait because you don't have to go back and check on it every day, and it will exterminate the rodents.
One drawback with using baits is the chance that the rodent will die in an inaccessible area and have a bad odor. If this does happen, the only measure you have is to use an odor eliminator designed for this purpose and wait it out. Normally, the rodent decomposes enough to stop the odor within a couple of weeks, and you can breathe a sigh of relief. Usually rodents come out into the open and die due to the effect of the bait. This makes it much easier for disposal.
There are several types of mouse traps you can buy to exterminate the rodents in your home. To do the most effective extermination in your home or business, you should use a variety of mouse traps.
